(Unexpected) Advice for You this Spring
By Alexandra Davis (read more about Alexandra here)(Unexpected) Advice for You this Spring:Soften.Relax your body. Relax your tension. Relax your mind. Let them soften for a moment. How does this feel? Soften as much as you can.You can soften + still stay completely awake and aware. You can soften + still make efforts, large and small. You can still take action. You can still do everything you need to do today and interact with every single person today... relaxed. What are you tense about? What are you anxious about? What are you bracing yourself for? Let yourself acknowledge these things, listen to them, hear what they have to say and then relax anyways. There is nothing to brace yourself for.Have you heard the data that drunk people in car accidents have far less injuries than sober people? It is because their bodies stay relaxed in impact- they do not brace themselves and tense up. It is the same with all kinds of impact... stay relaxed and you will face anything that is coming with more flexibility and ease.If it is challenging to relax your mind, focus on relaxing your body. Scan your body from the top of your head to your toes and relax every area of tension- no one will even notice what you are doing- you can do it at work, while cooking dinner, in line at the grocery store! Relax the tension you habitually hold in your body and your mind will follow.
